The Oxford Dictionary defines Inspiration as 'The process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative'
Let me share with you, a little of where I find my 'Inspiration' please bear with me, as a writer I am not!
The color Choices for "The Beachcomber Range" came from a little Cafe that will forever hold a special spot in my heart 'Yelo'.
I often perch myself on the verandah over looking Trigg beach & gaze into the ocean, amazed at how each time I come, the stunning Aqua and greens melting into the blues of the sky give me a feeling of calm.
Winter is my favorite time to visit "Yelo" When the sky has just a hint of grey. That little bit of grey mixing into the green blue of the ocean is just perfection to me.
My visits to Yelo became quite
frequent during my pregnancy with bubba #5.....My Little Charlie was a
'surprise' & although I wouldn't give her back for anything (truly
she is an amazing little character) I'm not ashamed to say that I really
struggled both during my pregnancy and for a while after. Anxiety
attacks became a part of daily life for me.
I really didn't like going out. Which of course wasn't going to work with four children already at home!
The beach for me has always been a
place I can go too and then come home feeling like the weight of the
world has been lifted off my shoulders. So when the kids asked to go out
it was usually the place we ventured out too.
It was on one of these little
outings we came across 'Yelo' and I am so glad we did.The staff at
"Yelo" have never made us feel like we need to rush off after finishing
our meal or drinK. They are always happy to see us they child friendly
(important to me!).
They have this hard to explain, laid back welcoming vibe each time you enter, which is missing in so many of the cafes around these days.
So this is where I would come and
sit on my good days and also on my not so good days during my pregnancy
and even after with Charlie. We would just sit on the bench and watch
I chose the Marine - Aqua - Lagoon
colors for the Beachcomber range, as for me they reflect the beautiful
view I fell in love with right there over-looking Trigg beach in W.A.
I sincerely hope that everyone finds a special spot where they can visit and find their "calmness" in a far too busy world.
If you're fortunate enough to live here in W.A or if you are ever here for a visit feel free to share my special place.
